OEI Call for Faculty Success Program Fellows and Mentors (Deadline extended)

2022 University of Rochester Office of Equity and Inclusion’s NCFDD Faculty Success Program for Fellows and Mentors

The University of Rochester Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is pleased to provide research faculty/tenure-line faculty the opportunity to participate in our 2022 National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD)* Faculty Success Program (FSP) for Fellows and Mentors.

Our 2022-23 program will support a cohort of Fellows and Mentors across the university. Fellows will be enrolled in the NCFDD Faculty Success Program as well as provided with mentorship, feedback, and support throughout the year by UR FSP Faculty Mentors.  

University of Rochester FSP Fellows: 

  • must be a tenure-line or research-focused faculty member at the University of Rochester at any point in their career.
  • expected to complete the summer FSP 12-week virtual program and fully participate in weekly calls and exercises. Summer program runs May 15 – August 6.
  • expected to meet periodically with UR FSP Mentors and host or participate in at least one event/meeting where they share program information with graduate students or junior faculty.
  • cost of the FSP program is covered and fellows will receive an honorarium of $2,000 to support/enhance research productivity.

Note: We will consider applications of faculty members who have already completed the FSP Program and would like to participate in the Summer 2022 Post Tenure Pathfinders Program during the same time period if space is available. (https://www.facultydiversity.org/pathfinders).  Please note this as part of your application.

University of Rochester FSP Mentors:

  • must have already completed the NCFDD/FSP program.
  • expected to provide individualized support to a small group of Fellows and to help to create an NCFDD network across the university that will periodically lead events related to the NCFDD curriculum and related activities.
  • will receive an honorarium of $5,000 each to support their work as mentors.

  2. Whether you would like to apply to be an FSP* Fellow or Mentor.
  3. What you hope to gain from participating in the program and how that aligns with your professional goals.
