December 2022

Meliora! A message from our Annual Giving Chair

As the new year approaches, I would like to take a moment to reflect on 2022 as we celebrate ou15th Anniversary of the George Eastman Circle and express my gratitude for your remarkable support of the University and the Medical Center. Your support has made it possible for the University of Rochester to make immense progress in healthcare and education, while working tirelessly to improve the lives of many.

Here is a snapshot of some of what was accomplished throughout the last 15 years:

  • George Eastman Circle members have contributed $125 million to the University and Medical Center, supporting diverse experiential learning opportunities, scholarships and financial aid, and innovative research and patient care.
  • Our membership has grown to include alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff from across the country and globe.
  • We have awarded more than 100 George Eastman Circle scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students further enhancing the University’s ability to attract the best and brightest from around the world.

In this issue, you can read about the difference members made across the entire University and Medical Center.

Together, we have worked toward a brighter future, and I am confident that in 2023 we will continue to make the world ‘ever better’. If you have not already done so, please be sure to make your membership payment before the end of 2022. Your contribution will make a world of difference.

Here’s to a peaceful and promising new year. Thank you for all you are doing to make that possible.

Meliora,
