University Introduces myURHR as part of Strategic Modernization of HR

University leadership and project team members recently celebrated the official kickoff of the implementation of a new Human Resources management system, which will serve as the foundation for the modernization of HR services.

As you may recall, earlier this year, the University announced plans to embark on this complex project to replace our current outdated PeopleSoft HR management platform.

This is an exciting system implementation project for the University. The HR system modernization project is possibly the largest system implementation, in scope and reach, that our institution has undertaken in many years. A new University Workday HR system represents a significant investment in creating modern HR capabilities that will support organizational excellence.

University President Sarah Mangelsdorf and Chief Human Resources Officer Kathy Gallucci kicked off the multi-year project by laying the groundwork of how we will optimize our strategic capability with the new Workday HR system. President Mangelsdorf and Gallucci spoke about the importance and long overdue modernization of the HR system, as part of setting a foundation for the successful modernization of HR services across the University.

myURHR will be used as a business tool to support data-driven decisions; improve efficiencies with consistent, streamlined processes; optimize compliance management; and promote cross-departmental collaboration. The system will also enable manager and employee self-service, and create a platform for other key HR strategic initiatives, such as the Career Path Modernization (CPM) project.
