myURHR Project Enters New Phase

The University’s myURHR implementation project has reached a new milestone!

myURHR is the name of our new Human Resources system currently in development, replacing the PeopleSoft (HRMS) platform in fall 2024. This month, the project moved from the architect phase to the configure and prototype phase. This is a significant step in the modernization of our HR system as the project team will now begin to review, at a high level, the first design models of myURHR, followed by preliminary testing.

A great deal of work, analysis, and collaboration from numerous departments and employees across the University have been happening behind the scenes to get us to this point. The goal of the configuration and prototype review is to validate that the requirements and information captured during the previous architect phase have been accurately applied.

Throughout the fall and winter months, the project team will carefully review preliminary prototypes, and gather more input from stakeholders representing faculty and staff across the University. The early design models include those for recruitment, new employee onboarding, and benefit elections. These models will help demonstrate the anticipated functionality of the myURHR system and will be used as tools to review processes and receive feedback from stakeholder groups beginning in early 2023.

myURHR is based on the leading enterprise Workday software program. By leveraging Workday’s out-of-the-box capabilities, our new, innovative system will enable the University to reduce manual processes, revitalize business practices to generate operational efficiencies, and further digitalize and streamline HR services. The system’s functionality will allow faculty and staff to complete everyday tasks with greater digital ease. myURHR will also provide better tools for data-driven decisions, increased personalization, and improved department-to-department communication.

You will be hearing much more in the coming months about our progress and how you can see and experience the new system. Visit the myURHR website for more detailed information regarding the project, benefits, timelines, and more.
