Take Your Next Step: UR Career Pathways Offers Roadmap to New Destinations

A new career development program, UR Career Pathways, is now available to staff who want to explore professional opportunities within the University community. The program will roll out in phases, with the first phase focusing on opportunities for those who are interested in one of 17 positions which are currently in high demand.

These positions currently include many in the healthcare field, such as licensed practical nurse (LPN) and pharmacy technician—with more to come as the program expands. Qualified participants will receive education, guidance, and support in exploring and moving into these high-demand positions.

As the largest private employer in upstate New York—and one of the top ten largest employers in New York State—the University of Rochester recognizes and appreciates the value of its remarkable faculty and staff. Supporting employees means cultivating growth, maximizing potential, and deepening job satisfaction.

“We are thrilled to launch UR Career Pathways, a first-of-its-kind initiative at the University of Rochester,” said Kathleen Gallucci, chief human resources officer. “Our greatest assets are our faculty and staff. In order for the institution to fulfill our missions in education, research, and medicine, we must offer opportunities for learning that empower staff to realize their individual goals.”
