Getting Ready for myURHR: Project Enters Testing & Training Phase

The myURHR project team is now taking the University’s new Human Resources information system for an in-depth “test drive”.

This summer marks the start of the Testing and Training phase for myURHR, which will replace HRMS in the fall of 2024.

myURHR Testing—What It Entails

The goal is to test everything—all business processes, reports, data, actions, and steps. Testing will continue for the remainder of 2023 leading up to training, which will begin in the summer of 2024.

End-to-end testing, which is happening now through early January 2024, involves myURHR project team members and individuals from various HR service areas who are testing business processes and digital workflows in various scenarios from beginning to end. All functionalities and components of myURHR will be put to the test.

End-to-end testing is significant, as it will help validate that myURHR is working as designed and meets the needs of the University. End-to-end testing will also help to capture any last-minute concerns and ensure they are addressed prior to go-live.

Additional groups will be invited to test business processes as the testing cycle continues. All testers will provide feedback on their experience in myURHR which will ultimately help to improve the myURHR experience for the University community.

myURHR Project Timeline—A Look at What’s Ahead

It’s important that everyone who needs to use myURHR as part of their job role is trained on the aspects relevant to them. We have dedicated important training time to ensure that everyone who needs to be trained will receive the appropriate level of support.

To prepare for using myURHR, various learning options will be offered, including instructor-led training, video tutorials, and quick reference guides depending on your role. All employees and managers will receive more information closer to training, including how to access role-appropriate materials and/or register for classes in MyPath.

  • Testing and Training Phase begins June 2023
  • Training for all faculty and staff begins the summer of 2024
  • myURHR go-live is scheduled for the fall of 2024
  • Support and continuous improvement are planned to be ongoing
