HR Modernization

Preview of myURHR’s Security Role Review Process

It’s imperative that everyone in the University community has the appropriate security access to perform essential job functions within myURHR when it is live this fall.

Over the coming weeks, HR Business Partners will reach out to department leaders and administrators with information on the process to carefully review security roles and confirm the appropriate individuals are assigned to each department role. This work will not only support extensive security configuration happening in Workday and UKG but also help to preserve the integrity and appropriate access required for each University department.

Manager’s Tips

Performance Evaluation Deadlines

The University’s annual performance evaluation process provides an opportunity for both managers and staff to receive feedback and evaluate progress over the last year, as well as set goals, plan projects, and establish timelines for the year ahead. Manager reviews are due by Friday, April 19 and all employee acknowledgements are due by Sunday, June 30 in MyPath.

Learning and Development

DEI Content Anytime

DEI Content Anytime spotlights educational content aligned with the University’s Meliora values and is designed to provide ongoing learning opportunities focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Each month features specialized learning tools centered around a DEI topic that is accessible to all faculty and staff through MyPath.

For the month of April, learn about the power of age diversity and strategies for engaging multigenerational teams. There are many materials to get you started, including podcasts, interactive micro-learning modules, and instructor-led trainings. Additionally, there will be opportunities to participate in departmental book clubs, enabling colleagues to engage in discussions and further their understanding of these important topics. Search “Plmultigen” for this month’s content, watch a video to learn more about DEI Content Anytime, or see the full list of topics.

Updating Your Beneficiaries

Retirement plan assets are transferred according to the terms of your plan’s beneficiary designation, rather than by the terms of your will. Make sure your beneficiary information reflects your current wishes. Go to TIAA to register or log in to your account. Once logged in, under the “Actions” tab, choose “Add/Edit Beneficiaries.” From there, you can designate beneficiaries and select how much each should receive.
