Getting Ready for myURHR: Change Network Serves as Vital Resource

myURHR Change Network Kickoff EventThe myURHR project is getting a boost of support from nearly 300 Champions and Super Users. These team members will enhance project communications and enable University members to receive information directly from someone in their area as we prepare for myURHR, the new modernized Human Resources solution replacing HRMS in the fall of 2024.

Together, the Champions and Super Users form the myURHR Change Network which kicked off in May 2023 and is led by Karen Scott, Associate Director, Learning & Development.

myURHR Change Network Kickoff Event“The myURHR Change Network will be a major key to the success of the overall project,” said Scott. “We are excited to have so many engaged members of the University community who are willing to help guide their colleagues through this important implementation as Champions and Super Users. We are grateful for their participation and look forward to the cross-collaboration.”

About the myURHR Change Network

With representation from departments and schools across the University, the myURHR Change Network will enhance project communications and enable faculty and staff to receive information directly from someone in their area who is closely linked to the project.

The myURHR Change Network will serve as a significant resource for all University members by cascading important project updates, gathering valuable feedback, and championing change across the University. Similar networks have proven to be effective to ensure the benefits of change are realized, the expected outcomes of a successful transformation are achieved, and employees have a voice during large transformative implementations like myURHR.

About the Champions and Super Users

Find Your Work Area’s Champion or Super User

The myURHR Change Network is composed of employees who are functional leaders, are trusted by colleagues, and have a deep understanding of the institution and/or the HR processes used by their departments.

The Champions and Super Users each represent the unique needs of their work areas. They will function as extensions of the myURHR project team to share communications, promote awareness, reinforce participation, and support their colleagues as the University transitions to myURHR.

They will have specific responsibilities, including to:

  • Advise: Elevate key issues from colleagues; advise project leaders on areas for further support, and advocate on behalf of their department/school/work area.
  • Encourage and Share: Encourage staff and faculty to participate in myURHR activities as relevant, gather ideas and recommendations from colleagues, and provide open and honest feedback to project leads.
  • Engage: Engage with University members at all levels to help with understanding and support of the myURHR project goals and objectives, and increase readiness by providing University members with the knowledge required to successfully adopt myURHR.
  • Communicate: Provide University members with relevant updates throughout the project implementation, cascade key messages, reduce ambiguity, bolster enthusiasm, and inspire a vision for the future of how we will use the new system.

The Champions and Super Users will meet monthly to learn about the new myURHR digital processes and upcoming events, and will share what they’ve learned with their teams. University members are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback to their Change Network representative(s).
