Community
The dedicated members of RC MERT constantly work towards strengthening our ties with both the campus and the greater Rochester community. In addition to providing quality emergency medical services to the University of Rochester, RC MERT also strives to promote personal health and health education on-and off-campus. MERT has participated in a variety of health promotions and has co-sponsored health-related events with a variety of university organizations.

National Collegiate EMS Week
November 11-15, 2019
National Collegiate EMS week is a week long recognition and celebration of campus-based EMS. This year MERT hosted a meet and greet, a tour of our equipment and vehicle, a giveaway, and helped members of the community put together their own first-aid kits!

NCEMSF Conference
February 22-24, 2019
MERT members attended the 26th Annual National Collegiate EMS Conference. The conference hosted 1100 representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities. MERT members had the opportunity to attend workshops run by other members of the EMS community. We all learned so much and we hope we can implement some of our new ideas to support our community back at the U of R!

STEM Initiative Family Science Day
April 21, 2018
MERT members participated in STEM Initiative’s Annual Family Science Day! We had a lot of fun showing children from the Rochester community all of our equipment and describing our role in the community. We hope all the families who attended enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
