University Health Service asks parents to consider sending their son or daughter back to school with a first aid kit, especially for minor things that might happen during the year. A shoe box or plastic container could contain medications your student takes regularly; over-the-counter medications for cold symptoms, pain, fever, allergies, insect bites, stomach distress, etc.; and such supplies as a thermometer, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, bandages, etc.
For more ideas, check “Information for Incoming Students” on the UHS web site.
