graphic reads CLASS OF 2017The last time our entire class came together was in August of our freshman year for convocation. Now, four years later, we will all come together one last time in May for our commencement.

As first-year students we sat on the Eastman Quad staring at Rush Rhees, unsure where the next four years would lead us but excited to embark on this adventure. is journey through college has taught us more than we could have imagined and has helped define the people that we are today.

During our time here we have had the opportunity to sit through lectures that have taught us to see the world through different perspectives, meet people who have helped us grow into strong leaders within our fields, and gain an invaluable education that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Beyond the classroom, we are fortunate to have made unforgettable friends and memories that we will cherish as we leave our college years.

Our student body has always been passionate, and it has been an honor to be surrounded by such bright and motivated peers. Every single student comes from a different background and has brought their passions and experiences to help create a dynamic and diverse campus community. One in which we constantly learn to be innovative and think critically.

It has been an honor to serve as the council for such a dedicated and driven class. We admire all that you have accomplished in your four years here and cannot wait to see how our class will continue to make the world ever better. Our hope is that this year will be one that you look back at fondly in the years to come. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and we hope that you will always remember your beloved college home beside the Genesee.

Meliora,

The 2017 Class Council
