Any University faculty member listed as an investigator on a Public Health Service-funded research project is required to complete an online Blackboard training course regarding conflicts of interest. This is in accordance with a 2011 Final Rule from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Each faculty member listed as an investigator on at least one PHS-funded project with a pending renewal date or an initial start date of Aug. 24 or later should have received an email last week with self-enrollment instructions to the Blackboard course. These individuals should complete the training by Aug. 24. Questions can be directed to Gunta Liders or Michael Ritz.
