Holly Crawford, the University of Rochester’s senior vice president for administration and finance, CFO, and treasurer, has been appointed the executive vice president of business affairs at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, effective November 29, 2021. Crawford, who has served in her current role since 2016, has been at Rochester since 1998.

“Rochester has been my home for decades, and the University has been my professional home for more than 20 years,” said Crawford. “I had no plans to leave, but this exciting opportunity at UT Southwestern presented itself. I will greatly miss my colleagues and my wonderful team here, but I am looking forward to this new adventure.”

At UT Southwestern, Crawford will be responsible for the financial, administrative, and infrastructural support operations of the organization, which comprises more than 20,000 faculty, staff, and students.

President Sarah C. Mangelsdorf remarked, “Holly has been an integral member of my senior leadership team, and I will miss her support, her insights, and her dedication to our University. Nevertheless, she has told me that this is the ‘offer she couldn’t refuse,’ and I wish her well in her new role.”

A national search for Crawford’s successor will be conducted. Plans for interim leadership of the administration and finance teams will be announced in the next few weeks.
