During the School of Medicine and Dentistry’s annual Robert L. & Lillian H. Brent White Coat Ceremony, first-year medical students don brand new white coats that symbolize the start of their journey to becoming medical professionals.

This year’s event, which recognized more than 100 future doctors in the Class of 2025, took place on August 13 at the Larry and Cindy Bloch Alumni and Advancement Center—with the participants’ health and safety top of mind. University of Rochester photographer J. Adam Fenster was on site to document the tradition.
