Adult students honored for academics, service

Three University students were among 35 honored Wednesday, April 20, at the 32nd annual Rochester-area Outstanding Adult Student Award banquet.

Ka’dya Donadelle is a graduate student studying counseling and human development at the Warner School of Education. Seth Mason ’16 is from Rochester and graduates this year with a degree in biology. Also a graduating senior, Nate Powers ’16 is an electrical and computer engineering major from Geneseo.

The students were chosen by the Rochester Area Colleges Continuing Education committee. The recipients are adult students who have excelled academically while successfully combining their college education with other commitments to family, job, career, and service to the community.

In addition to the University, this year’s recipients are from RIT, Keuka, St. John Fisher College, Nazareth College, Empire State College, the College at Brockport, Genesee Community College, Monroe Community College, Finger Lakes Community College, Alfred State, the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center, and Roberts Wesleyan College.
