Inclusive Possibilities Cluster to Meet
The inaugural meeting of the Inclusive Possibilities Cluster (formerly the Interdisciplinary Disabilities Cluster) will feature guest speakers Diane Coleman and Stephen Drake from Not Dead Yet, a grassroots disability rights group. Their talk will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Evarts Lounge at Helen Wood Hall, at the Medical Center.

‘Health Impact Assessment: Connecting Research With Policy’
Katrina Smith Korfmacher, associate professor of environmental medicine and director of community outreach and engagement core for the Environmental Health Sciences Center, will present “Health Impact Assessment: Connecting Research with Policy to Shape Determinants of Health” at the next Public Health Grand Rounds on Friday, Sept. 21. The talk, which starts at noon in the Helen Wood Hall Auditorium, will provide an introduction to health impact assessment, an overview of efforts in the Rochester area (including Rochester’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program), and reflections on the potential of the health impact assessment to broadly inform policy in our region.

Paving Planned for Mt. Hope Avenue Corridor
The southbound lanes of Mt. Hope Avenue will be closed for paving from Sept. 20–28. Traffic patterns will also be changed to pave Raleigh Street, Rossitor Road,Crittenden Boulevard, and the Elmwood and Mt. Hope Avenue intersection.
