In an effort to increase awareness of and participation in the democratic process, the University of Rochester’s Committee for Political Engagement (CPE) held a two-day photo shoot on October 28-29 called #TurnOutForWhat to document and share photos of Rochester students, faculty, and staff identifying what issues compel them to vote.

For the last five years, Futurity — hosted and edited at the University of Rocheste — has shared answers to these and other questions scientists are investigating at research universities around the world.

Each August, the University of Rochester prepares for Move-in Day, when the incoming freshman class arrives to begin their time as undergraduates. With the help of family, friends, and University volunteers, more than 1,000 new students move into five residence halls on the River Campus and the downtown Eastman Campus.
