Qiang Lin, an expert in integrated quantum photonics and nonlinear nanophotonics at the University of Rochester, is a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).

At its May meeting, the University's Board of Trustees elected Naveen Nataraj ’97 and Kathy Waller ’80, ’83S (MBA) as new board members and recognized five individuals who were elected as life trustees.

A new class of 25 sworn peace officers includes individuals proficient in Spanish, French, Tamil, Sinhala, and American Sign Language, with a range of professional backgrounds—military, health care, higher education, and the private sector.
