The DPS website and Think Safe contain information regarding campus security and personal safety, including crime prevention, fire safety, University police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, and disciplinary procedures.

University of Rochester alumni endow directorship for new Humanities Center

Nicholas George’s role as mentor celebrated in endowed optics professorship

The Nicholas George Endowed Professorship in Optics will honor the professor emeritus and former director of the Institute of Optics. The professorship was established by a gift from George’s former student Milton Chang, with an additional commitment from Joseph W. Goodman, the William Ayer Professor Emeritus at Stanford University

Groundbreaking for HTR’s new incubator takes place at Sibley Building

Wilmot Cancer Institute joins OmniSeq Genomic Network

University to host 200 students from 20 nations at International Baccalaureate World Student Conference

The IBWSC brings the leaders of tomorrow together to focus on critical thinking skills. This year’s theme will be reaching solutions through play, and keynote speakers include game designer and author Jane McGonigal and Bob Mankoff, cartoon editor for The New Yorker magazine.

The NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS) has recognized the Rochester as a StormReady® university for its preparedness to handle all types of severe and potentially life-threatening weather. Rochester is the first private university in New York State to be certified StormReady.
