To celebrate the International Day of Peace, the AC6 cultural diversity committee and Strong Memorial Hospital Professional Nursing Council are collecting individually packaged food items for Foodlink’s BackPack program. Cans of tuna and hard granola bars are a particular need this year. Units may collect items during the next few weeks and then deliver them to the main lobby of the hospital from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
The BackPack Program is a project of Foodlink that attempts to provide children who
experience hunger with a bag of nutritious food on weekends and school holidays.
