Karen Sodoma ’02S (MBA), associate University controller, will serve as interim University controller beginning July 1. This interim appointment assists with the transition of leadership in Central Finance with the retirement of Douglas Wylie, associate vice president for financial operations and University controller, and the start of a national search for this position.

Reporting to the senior vice president for administration and finance & CFO, Holly Crawford, the University controller serves as the corporate chief accounting officer with primary responsibilities for planning, developing, directing, and maintaining the University’s systems of accounting, financial reporting and general accounting operations, and financial controls.

Sodoma began at the University in 2005 as assistant controller, with responsibilities including directing corporate accounting, taxation reporting and financial reporting University-wide. In 2015, she was named associate controller. Sodoma is a CPA and received her MBA in finance from the Simon Business School in 2002.
