Brink Fox will be honored at the Susan B. Anthony Legacy Brunch, a long-standing University tradition that celebrates Anthony’s campaign for equal rights and to win women admission to the University in 1900.

“Instead of thinking about the effects of intimate partner violence in an isolated kind of way, we need to look at it across the lifespan and across the developmental stages,” says keynote speaker Dr. Tasneem Ismailji.

While much is known about the famed suffragist’s stance on social equality and slavery, Susan B. Anthony also had lots to say on a variety of issues that still resonate today.

A significant pay gap still exists between men and women on a national scale. In order to help raise awareness of this issue, the Susan B. Anthony Center has partnered with the Coalition on Pay Equity (or COPE) to survey this inequality in the Rochester area.

Linda Chaudron, professor of psychiatry, of obstetrics and gynecology, and of pediatrics and senior associate dean for diversity at the University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, will receive this year’s Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award for her work as a champion of women in science and medicine.

Sheree Toth, the executive director of the Mt. Hope Family Center and professor of clinical psychology, will deliver this year’s keynote speech at this year’s annual Stanton/Anthony Conversations, which will focus on the mental wellness of children.

For more than four decades, Jane Possee has served as a role model to female athletes at the University.

The conference will serve as a discussion forum for topics like re-entry, funding challenges, and the justice system.
