OHSP Core Training: Investigational Products now available in Blackboard

The Office for Human Subject Protection’s (OHSP) Core Training: Investigational Products course is now available, at no cost, in Blackboard for all faculty, staff and students.

OHSP’s Core Training modules are part of their Training Framework, with additional modules on Study Design, Principal Investigator Oversight, Study Operations, Recruitment & Retention, and Informed Consent also available, with more modules also in development.

Investigational Products module

The Core Training: Investigational Products course is comprised of five training videos, ranging in length from approximately 5–30 minutes.

Learning objectives include:

  • Identify research that is subject to Food & Drug Administration regulations.
  • Determine the appropriate regulatory pathway for investigating drugs, biologics, and devices.
  • Describe sponsor, investigator, and sponsor-investigator responsibilities when conducting research involving an investigational product.
  • Summarize how to appropriately control, manage, and account for investigational product.
