In accordance with New York State law, eligible employees are entitled to take up to four hours of protected time off from work, with pay, to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
This policy outlines the limitations and restrictions the University has with regard to all forms of political activity.
Hourly-paid staff required to work an evening shift will receive a $.75 per hour shift differential. Hourly-paid staff required to work the night shift will receive $1.00 per hour shift differential. The shift differential is paid in addition to the regular hourly rate for all hours worked on the shift.
It is the University’s intent that all employees receive an uninterrupted meal period when they work a shift of more than 6 hours; consistent with New York State Labor Law.
Situations requiring overtime pay should be avoided whenever possible. When work demands require a staff member to work in excess of 40 hours in a work week the staff member is eligible for and must be paid overtime pay at a rate of one and one-half times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay for the work week.
All hourly paid staff are guaranteed at least four hours of straight-time pay as compensation for the inconvenience of being called to work other than their regularly scheduled shift.
Hourly paid staff required to be on call will be compensated for the inconvenience.
All faculty and staff are encouraged to have the University deposit their pay into a checking and/or savings account with a bank(s), financial institution and/or a credit union of their choice.
