Russell V. Luepker M (MD) was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Lund in Sweden in recognition of his contributions to public health.

At the June meeting of the Missouri State Medical Association, Jonathan D. Dehner M (Res) was re-elected as an alternate delegate to the American Medical Association. Dehner was also elected as an alternate councilor to the American College of Radiology. He is president of Scott Radiological Group in St. Louis. . . . Martin L. Meltz M (PhD) is professor of radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He also directs the Center for Environmental Radiation Toxicology there.

Country musician/pediatrician Arthur Schlosser M (MD), profiled in the Fall 1996 Review, wrote to let us know that Dean Dobbins (his stage name) now has a Web page, with music samples from each of his five recordings. The site can be found at http://www.newenterprises.com/dobbins/. . . . Charles H. Hoke, Jr. M (MD) is director of the Division of Communicable Diseases and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Washington, D.C. He writes, "My responsibilities include development of products to prevent soldiers from developing infectious diseases when deployed to the tropics. I supervise 150 people and have a budget of $12 million. We have laboratories in Thailand, Kenya, and Brazil for on-site study of tropical diseases."

Dean X. Parmalee M (MD) is editor of the new Mosby textbook Neurology-Psychiatry Access Series, for professionals in the field of children's mental health, including primary care physicians and psychiatrists.

Paul Kostyniak M (PhD) has been named chairman of the University of Buffalo's Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Kostyniak is also director of the Toxicology Research Center there.

Cynthia McGuire Dunn M (Res) has been appointed the first director of the newly created Office of Clinical Research and Development at the University's Medical Center. In this position, she will focus on strengthening the Medical Center's ties with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical-device industries. She had been vice president for medical affairs at Fisons Pharmaceuticals in Rochester. . . . Immanuel Ho M (MD) (see '84 undergraduate). . . . Stewart J. Lustik M (MD) is engaged to marry Amy L. Katz on May 25, 1997. Lustik is assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University's School of Medicine and Dentistry.
