Wherever You Go, There UR!
University of Rochester Alumni Association Tours are designed to provide worry-free basics--transportation, transfers, accommodations, some meals, baggage handling, and professional guides--and still allow you time to pursue your individual interests. Escorts drawn from University faculty and staff accompany most tours to provide special services and educational enrichment.

Alumni Association tours are open to all members of the University community and their immediate families. Other relatives and friends are welcome as space permits (these unaffiliated travelers are requested to make a $100 gift to the University).

Village Life in England's Cotswolds
April 30-May 8, 2000

England's Cotswolds region has long been celebrated for its rural landscape of gentle hills, shaded valleys, and meadows of wildflowers. This trip, an all-inclusive program, is based in Cheltenham, a town known for its gardens. Your excursions include a special tour and lunch at Blenheim Palace, Winston Churchill's childhood home, hosted by Churchill's cousin, Lord Charles Spencer-Churchill. Trips to Tintern Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral, and Berkeley Castle will augment lectures by local experts on history, architecture, and culture.

This trip begins with two nights in Helsinki, followed by an 11-night cruise aboard the M.V. Kristina Regina. The ship will take you through the Barents and White Seas to Archangelsk, the Solovetskiye Islands, and Murmansk, then to the North Cape Plateau in Norway.

Visits to fine gardens and charming villages are also planned. A harp recital, a performance by a Welsh men's choir, and presentations on history and folklore allow you to broaden your knowledge of Welsh culture.
