About

The Susan B. Anthony Center works to bring awareness to, and advocate for, social justice and equality. We work in collaboration with the University community and partner with a wide range of local, national, and international organizations to fulfill our goal of translating research into policy. We conduct this work in the spirit of Susan B. Anthony, who fought tirelessly throughout her life for the betterment of disenfranchised populations.

Our annual events include the Susan B Anthony Legacy Awards, Stanton/Anthony Conversations and Pay Equity Series.

Apart from the students who work for the center, we collaborate with a number of Rochester students through the Student Advisory Board and the Ambassadors Program. We also provide scholarships and funding to students (both undergraduate and graduate) and faculty.

Our awareness initiatives include our program on Sexual Assault Awareness, our handbook for Trans students – Trans @ UoR  and our LGBTQ Initiative.
