The University of Rochester’s Title IX Office has launched a long-awaited redesign of its Sexual Misconduct and Title IX website. This comprehensive update was coordinated by University Marketing and Communications and led by T Street, Associate Director for Sexual Misconduct Prevention Education and Response in the Title IX Office. “We are excited to now have a robust website that also serves as a 24/7, 365-day resource for U of R community members, providing ample information about reporting, rights and resources, and the types of support the Title IX Office can offer,” shared Street.
More specifically, the new site features clear and simple topic-driven navigation, including improved site search and enhanced, mobile-friendly site accessibility. It also houses resources on topics such as:
- Frequently Asked Questions about Title IX;
- a guide for Title IX mandatory reporting obligations;
- supporting a friend or loved one who has been impacted by sexual misconduct;
- bystander intervention;
- syllabus language that instructors can incorporate into their syllabus/syllabi; and
- funding and co-sponsorship opportunities for student organizations to get further involved with the Title IX Office.
Finally, the website’s Training page explains in detail the Office’s many signature programs and streamlines the process for groups and departments to take advantage of one or more of these offerings.
