The Genesee Staff Council has created and populated standing committees to facilitate the operations of the Council. Members of the Council also have participated in various committees and project groups to act as a voice for staff in University decision-making.
The Executive Committee serves as liaison between Genesee Staff Council and University administration. The committee serves as an agenda committee for the deliberations of the Council and may make recommendations to the Council. The Executive Committee is responsible for maintaining a procedure for budget oversight.

The accessibility committee gathers information regarding staff access to various resources and makes recommendations to allow more staff to participate more fully in our University community.

The Communications Committee keeps constituents updated through website and newsletter communication, and creates the Genesee Staff Council Annual Report.

The Engagement Committee is focused on growing constituent engagement through targeted outreach events.

The Internal Affairs Committee annually reviews the staff council bylaws and recommends changes, and oversees the annual staff council elections.

The Special Projects Committee gathers information and data to inform council recommendations and advocacy around emerging issues that affect staff experience and retention.
