Where to Recycle
The University offers a range of places and spaces for recycling on its campuses.
Public space and deskside bins
Most recycling locations have a bin for mixed paper/cardboard and another bin for plastic, glass, and cans. Be sure to separate your recyclable materials into the proper bin. All recyclable items must be empty and clean.

In the Medical Center, plastic, glass, and metal containers can be recycled at:
- House of Six Nations Cafeteria (place on tray return)
- Flaum Atrium (two recycling container units on the ground floor and two on the first floor)
River Campus residence halls
Each residence hall on the River Campus features at least one location for recycling.
Students living in Susan B. Anthony Halls and the Residence Quad receive a blue recycling bin in their dorm rooms to separate their recyclables from trash. These bins can then be used to carry recyclable items to the designated locations within the halls.
