Framing Problems Accurately and Solving Them Creatively Workshop

This one-hour workshop is co-sponsored by the Eastman Institute for Music LeadershipBarbara J. Burger iZone and the Ain Center for Entrepreneurship. Participants in this interactive activity will be introduced to the Cynefin Framework, a tool for framing and categorizing problems accurately to provide for the most imaginative and efficient means to solve problems creatively. This applies to both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Eric Booth, arts leader, educator, and national arts and business consultant, will refer to his work with the international El Sistema organization in this workshop and how this framework is being used by communities to address complex social challenges. Eric will be hosting a series of events through a residency called “Amplifying Your Artistic Impact through Teaching Artistry” at the Eastman School of Music from January 24 to 26.
