UR Next Gen 2019 Challenge:
A Think-Tank Competition Solving Real Industry Challenges
- Kickoff Event – Wednesday, March 18th @ 4:00pm, Schlegel Hall, room 107
- NextGen Challenge Day – Friday, March 27th from 10am-6pm, Schlegel Hall, room 207
Cash prizes of $1,500 will be awarded to the top teams. The competition is open to all students in the STEM fields. Space is limited, only 20 students are eligible to compete! Students will be provided lunch on the competition day.

UR Next Gen Challenge is a think-tank style competition that gives students the chance to solve real-world problems with real-world engineers and scientists working alongside real-world industry representatives.
This event is being hosted by the MS TEAM program with industry challenge being submitted by American Rock Salt which will have company representatives present.
