UR Sex Week strives to empower Rochester students to explore all of the important facets of sexual health, including safe sexual practices, sensuality, contraception, intimate relationships, communication, consent, as well as sexual orientation & identity. We’ve designed informative and engaging programs and educational tabling events throughout the week. Check out the schedule below:
Sex & Chocolate Fair
Monday, September 25 / 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. / Hirst Lounge
Free condoms, chocolate, and giveaways! This sexual wellness fair brings together multiple campus resources, student groups, and community organizations to educate about safe sexual practices.
Sex in the Dark
Thursday, September 28 / 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. / Hoyt Auditorium
You’re not going to want to miss this! Held in a completely dark auditorium, a panel of UR “sexperts” will answer all of your deepest, darkest questions about sex, sexuality, and relationships. (Glow sticks provided!)
Sex is Like Pizza

Let’s talk about consent … and free pizza! Join RESTORE sex education specialist Emmy LoBrutto and Officer Tiffany Street from DPS for an open and honest discussion about consent on campus.
Netflix & Chill
Wednesday, September 27 / 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. / Sigma Phi Epsilon house on the Fraternity Quad
What is the “hook-up culture” and how does it impact the intimate relationships of UR students? Pam Graham from Willow and Sadya Ouedraogo (class of 2019) from the UHS Peer Health Advocate team will lead an eye-opening lecture.

A roundtable discussion with campus experts on feminism as it intersects with race, cultural background, and sexual orientation. Participants will be encouraged to share their stories and ask questions.

Compete in a condom relay race & make your own contraception kit.
Students can submit anonymous questions about sex, sexuality, and relationships for Thursday’s Sex in the Dark program at each tabling event.
