Rochester Students Take a Day to Learn About Wellness and Flourishing!

On Friday March 22, 2024, the UHS Health Promotion Office hosted their second annual Flourish Festival. This all-day event offers students a diverse range of wellness and mindfulness activities, including yoga, Qigong, guided meditations, pet therapy, VR mindfulness, a wellness fair, food trucks, and a mindful eating pop-up. The aim of the Flourish Festival is to present students with a wide array of wellness opportunities, enabling them to explore and adopt practices that promote well-being and flourishing.

This year, the festival attracted 417 participants who took part in various activities throughout the day. The most popular events were pet therapy, the Wellness Fair, and the Mindful Eating Pop-up – perhaps because who can resist animals, free goodies, and food!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our campus partners whose collaboration was instrumental in making the festival a success. Special thanks to Wilson Commons Student Activities, the Goergen Athletic Center, River Campus Libraries, Office of the Dean of Students, Dining Services, and the Interfaith Chapel!
