Apply to the New York Business Plan Competition by Noon on March 25
The Finger Lakes Region of the New York Business Plan Competition is accepting applications now through Wednesday, March 25, at noon (12:00 PM). Student teams attending colleges and universities in the Finger Lakes region are invited to submit a business idea in one of the following six categories:

  • AgTech & Food
  • Energy & Environment
  • Military & First Responder
  • MedTech & Well-Being
  • Technology & Entertainment
  • Consumer Products & Services

Teams will compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes and bragging rights in the region! An online application with an executive summary is all that is required to enter (a full business plan is not necessary). Finger Lakes Regional Semi-Finalists will be invited to the virtual presentation round. The competition is open to currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate students in any field of study. There is no fee to enter. Applications must be submitted online. All entrants must select “Finger Lakes” from the regional competition drop down menu. Student applicants may download the questions and fields in the online application form in advance. We also encourage all competitors to check out the Resources tab on the NYBPC Finger Lakes web page and review the official 2020 NYBPC Rule Book. Please contact the University of Rochester Ain Center for Entrepreneurship, if you have any questions about the competition or application process.

The 2020 Finger Lakes Regional Competition of the New York Business Plan Competition will move forward in a virtual format. The statewide and Finger Lakes organizers are working diligently to finalize details about the virtual competition. More information will be shared about the virtual format in the near future.
