SBIR/STTR Grant Writing Support

The University of Rochester (UR) is partnering with InteliSpark to provide an opportunity for grant writing/consulting assistance to UR researchers that are planning to work with a University startup to develop and submit a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) proposal.

  • UR researchers can apply for grant writing support to develop an SBIR/STTR proposal with a University startup.
  • University startups are small businesses created to commercialize licensed University of Rochester intellectual property.
  • Startups able to provide matching funds will be given strong preference.
  • Startups will be responsible for a 3.5% fixed incentive fee provided to InteliSpark on successful awards.
  • Proposals will be considered on a rolling basis.
  • UR Researchers should review the InteliSpark SBIR/STTR Seminar Video and UR guidance on SBIR/STTR proposals, and be sure to contact the Office of Research and Project Administration and UR Ventures early in the process to address any research administration, compliance and intellectual property considerations.
  • Please contact Curtis Broadbent for questions on this program.
