About the Competition and Exhibition

The Susan B. Anthony Institute (SBAI) for Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies releases a call for artwork in the fall of each year.

Three works are chosen for the Susan B. Anthony Institute Jurors' Choice Prize, which carries an award of $150. Four to eight additional works are chosen to accompany the winners in the exhibit at the Art and Music Library.

The winners and honorable mentions are announced at the opening reception in Sage Art Center. The opening, which takes place annually on the first Friday of the spring semester, includes a showcase of all submitted work and a gallery talk by a special guest juror. Artwork is then moved to the Art and Music Library and exhibited for the public until February.

Eligibility

All undergraduate students at the University of Rochester are eligible to enter.
