Projects Outside of the US

Due to the ongoing and changing nature of the pandemic, we strongly encourage applicants to consider a project based in the U.S.  For all projects being proposed in a location outside of the United States, students must familiarize themselves with and use the resources for student travelers available through the UR Office for Global Engagement.

No project will be considered for nomination to a location deemed too risky according to the professional security standards to which the University adheres—including an applicant's home country. Projects proposed to countries or regions with a US Department of State Level 3 (or higher) Travel Advisory will undergo additional scrutiny and will need to be approved by an internal UR travel review committee. For students whose projects are nominated by UR, changes in the safety and security situation of the proposed location may require alterations to the original project.
