V.P. APPOINTMENTS FOR INVESTMENTS, ADMINISTRATION

Douglas W. Phillips, treasurer of Williams College, has been named Rochester's vice president for investments. He will oversee the investment program for an endowment totaling $1.2 billion as of June 30, 2000. He had previously served as manager of investment administration at Princeton before moving to Williams in 1986 as assistant controller.

Phillips succeeds Richard W. Greene, who is retiring after 14 years with the University.

In another shift at the vice presidential level, University Treasurer Ronald J. Paprocki '69, '86S (MBA) has taken on added responsibilities as senior vice president for administration and chief financial officer.

The new title reflects Paprocki's responsibility for most of the University's central administrative functions formerly held by Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Richard P. Miller, Jr. Miller resigned last spring after 13 years at the University to assume the newly created position of vice chancellor and COO of the SUNY system.
