Introducing the Sproull Dean

Thomas LeBlanc, who has served as University vice provost and dean of the College's faculty of arts, sciences, and engineering since 1997, was appointed the University's first Robert L. and Mary L. Sproull Dean of the College Faculty.

The deanship was renamed for Sproull and his wife, Mary, in recognition of their pledge to endow a discretionary fund to be used by the College.

Sproull served as University president for 14 years.
