Lauren Baker and Charles Askew were married on October 11, 2003, in Onondaga Hill, N.Y. Lauren and Charles are pursuing master’s degrees at the Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss.

2001
Tara Tischler and Jon Von Kohorn were married in August 2002. Alumni attendees included Matt Ikari ’02 (MS), Nathan Cornell ’02, Ann Carr ’02, Dana Reid-Vanas, Melissa Knitter ’03, Shifra Presser and her husband, Joe DeCoursey, Charles Choi ’00, Katie McShane ’00, and Arabella Arifrocik and her husband, Sam Thomas ’00. Tara and Jon received their law degrees from the University of Connecticut School of Law in May and will sit for the New York and Connecticut bars in July. Jon joined the Hartford-based law firm of Halloran & Sage in Westport, Conn., and will work in a practice group led by Alan Rubenstein ’79. Tara will continue working for Nancy Segore-Freshman ’77 at her Westport, Conn., law offices. Nancy’s husband, Steve Freshman ’76, is a vice president at MemberWorks in Stamford, Conn. Their daughter, Arielle, attends Rochester (Class of 2006), majoring in brain and cognitive sciences.

2002
Charles Emerson and Beth Urbonas, who met at freshman orientation in July 1998, were married on August 2, 2003, in Manchester, Conn. Alumni in attendance included best men Robert Crummet and Christopher Mancini and bridesmaid Erica Daniels ’03. Charles is a chemist for Clean Harbors Environmental Services based in Syracuse, and Beth is a medical student at Rochester. . . . Christine Maddalone and Nicholas Turner announce their engagement. Nicholas is a physicist for Holographic Optics in Millwood, N.Y., and Christine is an actuary for Selective Insurance in Branchville, N.J. They’re planning a December wedding. . . . Marissa Pernisi is in active service aboard the guided missile destroyer U.S.S. John S. McCain, deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. . . . U.S. Coast Guard harpist Megan Sesma ’02E performed a recital, “New Horizons II: Music for Harp, Voice, and Winds,” at Connecticut College in Norwich last February with members of the Coast Guard Band and guest artists from the Eastman School of Music, Yale University, and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.
