Jill lives in Boca Raton with her husband and two children. . . . Karin Roberts was promoted to assignment editor on the night metropolitan desk at The New York Times. 1982
Iain Currie was promoted to the rank of captain in the Navy Reserves. His father, Gordon Currie ’53M (Res), swore him in, and his mother, Janice Jacobs Currie ’53N, ’80, pinned his insignia on his uniform, at a ceremony at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club in Florida. . . . David Gagne is vice president of sales for Engim, which develops wireless silicon technology. . . . Debbie Green (see ’87). . . . Sheryl Richardson Grumney (see ’87). . . . Anthony Hanley writes, “Dennis Hennigan ’75 was the head referee at the 2004 Sugar Bowl, the national championship game between Louisiana State University and Oklahoma.” . . . Jody Lavin-Patrick was head coach of the East Team coaching staff, one of eight coaches selected to take part in the third annual USA Basketball Women’s Youth Development Festival. The training seminars and five-game tournament were held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in June. Jody is the head coach of girls’ varsity basketball at the Flint Hill School in Oakton, Va. . . . Richard Switzer (see ’87). . . . John Zabrodsky (see ’87).

Clifford Abramsky ’84S (MBA) has been selected as a member of the bank loan portfolio management team at Hartford Investment Management Company. Clifford is a vice president of the company. . . . Peggy Hastie (see ’87). . . . Norbert Markert has been named chairman of the Automotive Occupant Restraints Council’s board of directors. . . . Ami Weil (see ’87).

Mark Schonfeld was named regional director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s northeast regional office. . . . Alice Calabrese Smith ’88S (MBA) writes, “Christopher Winfield Smith was born on January 27. He looks like his dad and has an extraordinarily good disposition.”

1985
John Beisheim was reelected to the school board of the Brighton (N.Y.) Central School District. A former attorney with Nixon Peabody, he has been a stay-at-home father for his three children for the past three years. . . . Muzzammil Hassan ’96S (MBA) has established the Bridges Television Network, an English-language Arab-American station available on satellite and cable. . . . Dan Koharski writes, “I served as a test engineer on the Mars Rover airbag landing system certification program while working at NASA’s Plumbrook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. I’ve recently taken a position with NASA at the Kennedy Space Center as a systems engineer supporting the crawler transporter, mobile launch platform, and launch pad structure systems for the shuttle.” . . . Kathy Kriese and Tad Hogg were married February 29. They live in Mountain View, Calif.

1986
Jeannine Shao Collins is senior vice president at Meredith Publishing, in charge of Ladies’ Home Journal and More magazines. . . . Lisa Hardy Norwood ’95W (MS), assistant dean for undergraduate studies in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, is one of the organizers of the On Track Engineering Prep Program at the Baden Street Settlement in Rochester. . . . Renaissance Finance, whose founder and president is Brian Prince ’89S (MBA), has received $125 million in federal tax credit allocations, which the company will invest in low-income areas in Rochester. . . . Christopher Progler ’87 (MS) was promoted to the newly created position of chief technology officer for Photronics, a manufacturer of microscopic images of electronic circuits.

1987
Joseph Bonsick has joined the northeast Pennsylvania business banking team of Wachovia Corp. in Scranton, Pa. . . . Julie Petronio Fisher and her husband, Tom, announce the birth of their first child, Molly Elizabeth, on October 9, 2003. Julie recently returned to work at Xerox after an extended maternity leave. . . . Charlie Henneman writes, “I have left New York City after 17 years. I am working in Charlottesville, Va., with the CFA Institute, a nonprofit organization serving a global membership of 65,000 investment professionals holding the ‘chartered financial analyst’ designation. On June 7, my wife, Laurel, sons, Wyatt and Caspar, and I will move into our first house, located just a few blocks from the University of Virginia. We will miss New York, but we are thrilled to be settling in such a lovely region.” . . . Phyllis Jackson Lewis organized a reunion of former members of the track and field team. Phyllis writes, “Twenty alums were able to make the event, including Japhet Woolston ’80—who came all the way from Hawaii!—plus spouses, friends, and children. In total, we had about 45 to 50 at our picnic in Central Park in New York City. Kelly Saletan Grunther writes, “A group of old friends from Rochester, who hadn’t seen each other in years, got together in New York City for brunch:” Michelle Saperstein Coppola ’89, Beth Fried, Lisa Shaari ’87, Anne Dickler Ackerman, and Kelly. Kelly lives on Long Island with her husband and two boys, 8 1/2 and 4 1/2, and runs her own public relations firm. Michelle lives in Westchester with her husband, Rochester alumnus Shane Coppola ’89S (MBA); they have three children—two girls, 10 and 5, and a boy, 8. Beth lives in New York City, where she is a speech therapist for a private school; she also has a private practice. Lisa lives in New York City and owns a video store. Anne lives in Rockville, Md., with her husband and three daughters, 8 1/2, 5, and 2. . . . Janna Olevnik Jones and her husband, Wesley, announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, Ellory Kay, on March 6. They live in Boulder, Colo. . . . Robert Wiesenthal has joined the board of directors for Entercom Communications. Robert is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Sony Corporation of America, as well as executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Sony Broadband Entertainment.

1989
Michelle Saperstein Coppola (see ’88). . . . John Horn was named the New York State Bar Association’s outstanding young lawyer of the year in January. John is a senior associate with the law firm of Harter, Secrest & Emery in Buffalo. He and his wife, Janice, live with their twin daughters, Ava and Brooke, in Williamsville. . . . Ronald Pratt ’92 (MS), ’94 (PhD) is chief technology officer of IEC Electronics in Newark, N.Y. . . . Steve Sheldon and Christine Rausch announce their engagement. A September wedding at San Diego’s Balboa Park is planned.
