Jamie LaRue ’96S (MBA) and his wife, Megan, announce the birth of their daughter, Devyn Margot, on March 16, in Cincinnati. Jamie writes, “She joins her big sister, Meryl Riley, 1 1/2, who isn’t sure what to make of it.” . . . Susan Mount (see ’74). . . . John Noble and Victoria Wan Noble ’92 announce the birth of their first child, Cameron Edward. John writes, “Cameron was born on February 8, the day before the Chinese New Year, barely making it into the Year of the Monkey. His father, grandfather, aunt (Tammy Noble Frankland), and uncle all were born in the Year of the Monkey.” John works at the Jersey City office of ISO, a risk assessment company, and is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Victoria is a marketing manager at Pfizer.

Alonzo Borja and his wife, Carmen Elisa, announce the birth of their daughter, Elisa Mariana, on February 26. . . . Jamie de Perio and Jennifer Gurske were married on May 28 in Webster, N.Y. Jamie is a laboratory manager with Catholic Health System in Sisters Hospital in Buffalo, and Jennifer is an orthopedic surgery resident at the University at Buffalo. . . . Liz Freedman and Alan Stillman were married on October 16, 2004. Alumni in attendance included Melissa Knapp Barber, David Barber, Karla Buhsmer, and David Schuchman. Liz is a policy analyst at the National Institutes of Health, and Alan is the owner of Kwikpoint, a visual language translator company. They live in Alexandria, Va., with their dog, Lindy. . . . Travis ’92 (MS) and Amanda Smith Miller announce the birth of their son, Wyatt Alden, on December 14, 2004. . . . Michael Moschel is a labor and employment practice attorney with the Nashville law firm Bass, Berry & Sims.

Corey Brown ’95 writes, “I am senior mortgage consultant at Indemae Home Loan Corp. in Tampa, Fla. We are now a national company providing loans in 49 states. Tampa is great but I miss the snow! I would love to hear from all my friends: I can be reached at coreybrown717 (at) yahoo (dot) com.” . . . Karin Butler and Jeff Reed were married on February 20 in Seattle. Karin writes that she met Jeff while working at Seattle Center, a sports and entertainment complex, where she is manager of facility sales and Jeff is an event manager. . . . Casey Dickinson, a reporter for the Central New York Business Journal, was named small-business journalist of the year by the U.S. Small Business Administration in the Syracuse district. . . . Lawrence Loh was appointed assistant conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra last May, one day after also being named musical director of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic in Scranton–Wilkes Barre. . . . Victoria Wan Noble (see ’90). . . . Karin Selva and William Lanning were married on April 30 in Buffalo. Karin is a pediatric endocrinologist at Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore., and William is an architect and project manager at Michael Willis Architects in Portland. . . . Joel Wojciechowski ’05M (PhD) and Katherine Kowalski ’04M (MS) were married on August 16, 2003, in Buffalo. “We wish to thank Father Brian Cool of the Interfaith Chapel’s Catholic Neuman Community for wonderfully officiating our joyous event,” they write. Laureen Burke ’97M (MD) has joined Women Gynecology & Childbirth Associates in Rochester. . . . Jeannine Dingus ’94W (MS) is an assistant professor of teaching and curriculum at the Warner School. . . . Hodgson Russ attorney Kenneth Suzan gave a talk on “Strategies for Brand Expansion into the United States” at the Cross-Border IP Strategies seminar in Burlington, Ontario, last May. He also wrote an article on the topic that was published in the October 1, 2004, issue of The Lawyers Weekly. . . . Amy Mann Varnerin writes, “My husband, John, and I announce the birth of our twins, Ella Rose and Declan Ian, born on October 3, 2004.”

Internet service company Auragen Communications, cofounded by Frederick Beer, plans to open a West Coast office based on the strength of its new tool, EyeRelevance, which tracks a Web surfer’s eye movements. Frederick also is president and CEO of the company. . . . Belinda Birnbaum ’00M (MD) and Dan Vogl were married on March 6 in Tarrytown, N.Y. Belinda is a fellow in rheumatology at New York University Hospital and the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in Manhattan. Dan is a fellow in hematology and oncology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. . . . Corey Brown (see ’92). . . . Brian Klebba writes, “I served as an adjunct faculty member at Tulane Law School and was a guest speaker at the New Orleans Bar Association’s annual meeting at Point Clear, Ala., last spring.” . . . Eva-Beth Daroff Levy ’96W (MS) and her husband, Andrew, announce the birth of their second child, Aiden Benjamin, on May 3. He joins big sister Gabrielle Elise, 2 1/2. . . . Becky Machado and Anthony Habib were married on May 28 in Williamsville, N.Y. Becky is an after-school coordinator at Valley Community Center in Buffalo, and Anthony is vice president of Petri Baking Products in Silver Creek, N.Y. . . . Melissa Sands Schrader was elected water commissioner of East Bridgewater, Mass., last spring.

Kevin Khanna is vice president of entertainment at GE Commercial Finance in Norwalk, Conn. . . . Shiraz Shajani and his wife, Ambereen, announce the birth of their daughter, Maryam, on March 29. “She and mom are doing great,” Shiraz writes.

1997
John Conron writes, “Eric Karr is quoted in an article that was published in the Boston Globe last April.” Eric critiqued a new type of pipe wrap that would repair damaged oil and gas pipelines. . . . Aaron Gleason writes, “I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut last May, and I am working as a child and family therapist at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.” . . . Tom Kenniff is stationed in Iraq with the 42nd Infantry Division of the New York Army National Guard. An attorney, Tom is working on the details of Iraq’s new constitution. He also was in the spotlight when he was photographed with singer Jessica Simpson, who visited the country last spring. . . . Chris Smith writes, “Just wanted to ‘holla’ at all my friends and alumni. I’m back in Atlanta, da dirty South. You can all contact me at kwameximer (at) hotmail (dot) com.”

David Barzilai received Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine’s Harry Resnick Memorial Fund award at the diploma ceremony last May, when he received his M.D. from the university. He also has a Ph.D. from Case Western. . . . Brian Day and MJ Figel were married on May 22, 2004, in Cape May, N.J. Brian writes, “I am an obstetrics and gynecology resident at New York University, and MJ is an associate editor for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.” . . . Andrea Eder and Len Salis were married on July 17. Andrea writes, “Lien Tran and her husband, Minh Vu, and their two children, Cayla and Brandon, attended. I teach at Queensborough Community College, and I’m a Ph.D. student in educational psychology at the CUNY Graduate Center.” . . . Christian Helbig and Canice Lim were married on April 9 in New York City. Christian is a vice president at Bank of America, and Canice is a business analyst at Bluefly. . . . Jen LiMarzi is the author of Fingers Crossed, Legs Uncrossed, a humorous look at life in New York City.

Stephen Caraher and Kelly Sutliffe were married on May 28 in Buffalo. Stephen is development manager for Olmsted Parks Conservancy, and Kelly is an academic advisor at the University at Buffalo. . . . Stephanie Dyson started her own law practice, Dyson Law, in Boston. . . . Jennifer Haines and Scott Adams were married on March 12 in Buffalo. They live in Tonawanda, N.Y. . . . Ben Holko (see ’01). . . . Rachel Madan writes, “I’m pleased to announce that I will be attending the London School of Economics and Political Science for the 2005–06 academic year. I will study for the M.Sc. in environment and development. Before beginning my studies, I traveled for four months in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.”
