Seligman: Cancer Treatment Complete

President Joel Seligman announced this winter that he has completed his treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“In the opinion of Richard Fisher, who is treating me and is the director of the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, I am in complete remission with no evidence of cancer at this time,” Seligman said in a note to the University community. “I have begun follow-up and monitoring. While there are no absolute guarantees in life, the recurrence rate for the type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that I have is quite low.”

Diagnosed in August 2007, Seligman underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment last fall.
