Stephen Greenspan (PhD) writes that he was awarded the Dybwad International Humanitarian Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Steve, a professor emeritus of educational psychology at the University of Connecticut, was honored for research and advocacy on behalf of people with developmental disabilities. Pelin Aylangan S (MBA) (see undergraduate ’90). . . . Russ Weybright S (MBA) was profiled for the cover story of the October 2007 issue of Minnesota Technology. Russ is president of RW Solutions.

1999

Mark Jacobs W (EdD) has had two books published by Rowman and Littlefield. Real Classroom Management: Whose Job Is It (2007) argues against the notion that behavior is the only issue to consider in classroom management. His other book, 5 Essential Skills for School Leaders (2005) helps leaders deal with national and state requirements and enact education-related laws.

2004

Enid DeJesus-Lopez W (MS) was honored in January by the New York State Lottery as its “Educator of the Week.” Enid, who plays an integral part in the educational program at the Foundation Academy at East High School in Rochester, was nominated for her dedication to encouraging her seventh- and eighth-grade students to maintain their studies even through times of personal and family crisis.
