Pelin Aylangan ’98S (MBA) writes that she married Seckin Ozen in Vienna, Va., in September 2007. Pelin was promoted to leader, government consulting for Dun & Bradstreet. . . . John Sotomayor sends a photo of himself with editor Heather Lee at the 2007 Florida Magazine Association’s Charlie Awards, where his work with Ocala Magazine was honored with silver and bronze awards in the Best Feature category, plus silver in Best Public Service Coverage. Hollis Phillips ’92W (MS) married Stephanie Geter on August 25 at Open Door Baptist Church in Chili, N.Y. Alumni present included best man Tim Lewis, Rich Brumberg, Nancy Klucke, Jeff Wilcox and his wife, Abuko, Flavius Cucu ’92 and his wife, Marion, Sylvia Hysong and her husband, Mike, Lee Frank ’92, ’97S (MBA) and his wife, Sally, Dwayne Day ’90 and his wife, Sarinjaya, and Lance Mortensen and his wife, Bong Bong. . . . Alix Sharnoff Slade sends a photo of her daughter, Rose, whom she and her husband, Ben, welcomed last August.

Jessica Leonard Birk and her husband, Neil, announce the birth of their son, Brandon Scott, last August. He is welcomed by older brother, Craig Ryan, who was born in 2005. . . . Heather Eichenbaum has been elected a member of the Philadelphia law firm of Spector Gadon & Rosen. She works with clients in the amusement industry, such as Six Flags Great Adventure. . . . David Missal reports that he is now acting as the CIO and senior technology consultant to the aerospace and defense division of EMC. . . . Kenneth Suzan has been elected as a partner at the law firm of Hodgson Russ in Buffalo. He works with clients on trademark clearance, prosecution, infringement, licensing, domain name, Internet, and new media matters, as well as manages and supervises issues in foreign trademark.

Marla Kim Babat-Yonaty sends a photo to announce that she and her husband, Stephen, welcomed daughter Lila Beth Yonaty last May. She writes, “Her sister Ariella (5) and brother Asher (3) cannot get enough of her. I am back to work, part time, as an attorney in Buffalo, specializing as a law guardian for children in Family and Supreme court. I would love to hear from old friends (MKimmer@aol.com).” . . . Judith Gendler Epstein reports that she has been appointed director of grants and foundation giving at the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. She is a Mid-Atlantic Health Leadership Institute Scholar, and her papers have been published in several journals. . . . Abby Levine Shallom sends a photo from her marriage to Ran Shallom on October 6, 2007, in Schenectady, N.Y. Alumni in attendance were Erica Cranston Rimlinger and Debora Kalafarski LaBudde ’92. . . . Shane and Christy Hefflon Yeager ’96 write to share that their second child, Gwendolyn, was born last March. The family lives in Medford, Mass. Christy works as a pension actuary for Aon Consulting in Boston.

Edward Fox writes that he has taken a position at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at Penn State University as associate professor of orthopaedic surgery in the division of musculoskeletal oncology surgery. He writes, “I’m loving it out here as there’s so much of a Rochester influence”—noting other Penn State medical leaders with Rochester training, such as C. McCollister Evarts ’57M (MD) ’64M (Res), Kevin Black ’81M (MD), Wayne Sebastianelli ’83M (MD) and Tom Nifong ’95M (MD). . . . Michelle Salob Freiberg sends a photo from her marriage to Richard Freiberg on November 10, 2007. Several alumni attended, including, from left to right: Allison Seidberg Pinsky, Beth Daroff Levy ’96 (MS), Tara Schoen Artel N and Michelle. The couple lives in Atlanta, where Michelle works as a talent and leadership consultant for Hewitt Associates.

Allison Parket Berman and her husband, Peter, send a photo announcing the birth of their second daughter, Reese, last August. She writes that “big sister Molly couldn’t be more excited.” The family lives with their dog, Ruby, in Warwick, N.Y. They welcome hearing from anyone planning to be in the area at Allison@WithLoveAliB.com. . . . Polina Ryzhik Bryson sends a photo announcing her second baby, Andrew Johann, born last November. Pictured with Polina are her husband, Andrew, and her daughter, Victoria. They live in San Diego, where Polina is a licensed clinical psychologist in a group practice. . . . Carrie Rosen has been named a 2007 Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Law & Politics. She was listed in the December 2007 issues of Philadelphia magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars edition. . . . Monique Yuan sends a photo to announce her marriage to Jason Fields on September 29, 2007, in New York’s Skaneateles Lake region. Monique and Jason are endodontists who own a practice together and live in Bethesda, Md.

1998

Rosemarie Rutigliano Buckley and her husband, Dennis, send a photo to announce they’re the proud parents of a baby boy, Dennis Peter, who was born last July. He joins sister, Anna, who is 20 months old. . . . Erik Cox sends a photo of himself with his wife, Rachel, during a two-week, 730-mile bicycling trip from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, Thailand, part of a leukemia fundraiser. Erik and Rachel are lawyers in Washington, D.C. . . . Kelly Koyama reports that she has joined Marc Jacobs International as an attorney. Previously, she was an associate general counsel at the McGraw-Hill Companies. . . . Marc Rappaport sends a photo to announce that he and his wife, Emily, welcomed twin daughters Addison Jayne and Harli Madison last November. He is completing a hematology and oncology fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and has accepted a private practice position that will start in July.

Liz Peters (see ’06 RC graduate). . . . Laura Kelley Wagner sends news of her marriage to Robert Wagner on September 18, 2005, in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Sara-Kate Kanter ’99 was a bridesmaid, and former professor and debate coach Sam Nelson attended. In January, Laura was promoted to full-time assistant social services attorney at Niagara County’s department of social services. She is counsel for the child protective services and child support collection units and assists with child welfare appeals.
