Winning Wind
GREEN GOALS: Gloria See ’09 of Montrose, Colo., and David Borrelli ’09 of Webster, N.Y., get an up-close look at a 328-foot turbine as part of a tour that Rochester undergraduates and area Upward Bound high school students took in October of a wind farm near Syracuse. Energy harnessed by such wind farms became a prominent part of campus energy policy this fall, when the University announced that 100 percent of electricity used in residential life buildings on the River Campus would be offset with wind energy.
