TOPPED OUT: Workers place the final beam atop the construction site for an addition to the Eastman School this spring, a milestone moment in a project that includes new teaching and performance spaces as well as renovations to the existing historic theater. The renovated theater is scheduled to reopen in October as Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. In true Eastman fashion, as part of the traditional “topping out” ceremony, a percussion ensemble “played” the beam before it was lifted into place.
