EASTMAN DAYCommunity Commitment

MUSIC & SERVICE: Elizabeth Ehrlich ’14E, a violin major from Atlanta, helps paint a gym wall at the Monroe Avenue YMCA in Rochester as part of George Eastman Day, the Eastman School’s first schoolwide day of community service on August 27. Nearly 200 members of the Eastman community volunteered at projects across Rochester as a way to recognize the commitment to the community exemplified by school namesake George Eastman. The new day is modeled on Wilson Day—the College’s day of service named for Xerox founder Joseph Wilson ’31 —which celebrated its 22nd edition on August 30.
