In celebration of the Class of 2023, Sheila O’Leary and John Silsby P’23 are challenging other senior parents like you, to make a gift in honor of your student. Gifts made by senior parents this year, to support any area of the University, will be matched up to $10,000!

Parent impact matters.

Providing support—through scholarships, research grants, travel funds, and more—is key to student learning and development. Without donor generosity, many of our students would not be able to take full advantage of all the opportunities available on and off campus. With your help, Rochester students can enjoy their college experience to the fullest!

As a proud Rochester parent, please consider making a gift that will enable future students to learn, play, perform, and thrive during their years at Rochester. If a particular performance group, athletics team, or study abroad experience has left a lasting impact on your student, we invite you to contribute a gift to that area in the spirit of Meliora- Ever Better.

Make a difference.

on average, parents donate four million dollars annually to support the student experience at University of Rochester; During last year's day of giving, more than 430 parents collectively supported the food pantry, the student emergency fund, scholarships, and other key areas; last year, more than 300 parents served on University of Rochester advisory councils and as career and admissions volunteers, giving them special opportunities to provide professional perspectives and welcome them to the Rochester family

It’s almost impossible to put into words how Rochester has changed Miller’s life—it’s been the perfect place for him. He’s conducted research, did a summer internship, and enjoys performing with No Jackets Required, which is all about contemporary music. The growth we’ve seen in him over these last three years has been nothing short of remarkable. He is becoming the young man he was destined to be, and we are incredibly proud of him.

We are also so grateful to the University for all it has done for him and our family. That gratitude has inspired us to support the University during his time here. Please join us by offering your support to the University, too. Together, we can help other students and families have the same kinds of experiences we’ve all had. Together, we can do more to make the Rochester experience be all it can be for them, too.
